Why have we reformed?
Simple, we all went along to the Big Beat Bash at McCluskey’s (formerly the Locarno) in October 2002 to hear the Derby bands of the 60’s – it was a huge success and a very nostalgic evening. The music is still very popular, seemingly for all ages and we wanted to be a part of it. Six months on from the BBB we bought some gear, arranged a few rehearsals and the ‘old men’ are at it again!!!
After a few rehearsals during the summer months we played our first gig at a charity bash at Barrow-on-Trent Village Hall in October 2003. We continued to play about 15 gigs in 2004 including 3 times at Derby’s ongoing Big Beat Bash at Rigsby’s alongside other Derby bands, The Aces, Six Across and the Rapids.
